What kind of glue/paste should I use to put my metal bed post back together?

The top of one of the four posts on my metal bed frame broke off. I superglued it backon, but now i need to use some kind of puddy or someting to keep it from breaking off again. I will sand it down afterwards and paint it the original color. i just have no idea what to use to "seal" it back together.

1. Puddy might be your best bet, or even chulking. Good luck.
