what is the normal dimesion of a queen bed?

I have full bed and want to know if I have enough room to get a queen. The current bed will expand to handle a queen.

1. Queen beds are 6" wider than a full size. They are 5 feet wide.
2. A queen size bed is 6"wider than the full size bed and is a necessity if you are married.My wife has pushed me to where I was hanging off the bed several times before I wised up and invested in that additional 6"width.Also it has put both of us in a better confort zone.Hope you have good luck with your confort as well.Thanks for the 2 pts.
